Handrij Zejler Monument

The monument to Handrij Zejler is located near his birthplace. It is reminiscent of one of the most famous Sorbs in Upper Lusatia.

There is a monument in Salzenforst next to the birthplace of Handrij Zejler. It was erected in memory of one of the most important Sorbian poets and one of the founders of 19th century Sorbian art literature. In collaboration with Karl August Katzer he created, among other things, the text for the five-part secular cycle "The Seasons". Together with Karl August Katzer he created, among other things, the text for the five-part secular cycle "The Seasons". In the middle of the 19th century Zejler was chairman of the founding committee of the Sorbian scientific society "Maćica Serbska".
